Cordell Garner, 93, of Jamestown, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Hospice of

Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was born February 29, 1920

in Russell County to the late Arthur & Pearl Garner.

He was a farmer, a Veteran of th US Army serving in WWII and was a member of the

Union Chapel United Methodist Church.

wife: Ovalene Antle Garner, Jamestown

3 children: Carol Antle, Louisville

                  Brenda (David) Brown, Caneyville, Ky

                  Mickey Garner, Jamestown

5 grandchildren: Angela Fugate, Melissa Roush, Dana Cruze, Chris Brown, Latisha Cordrey

10 great grandchildren

Funeral service for Cordell Garner will be 10 AM. Wednesday September 18, 2013 at the Union Chapel United

Methodist Church with Bro. David Brown, Bro. Roger Garner, Bro. Jesse Jewell, and

Bro. Steven Willis officiating. Friends may call after 4 PM. Tuesday at Bernard Funeral Home and

after 9 AM. Wednesday at the church. Burial in the Dixon Cemetery.
