Gertrude Gosser, 93, of Russell Springs, passed away on Monday evening,

January 6, 2014 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown. She was born

September 23, 1920 in Ingle, Ky to the late Leo & Rosalia Scales Roy. She married

Cosby Gosser on June 22, 1942, and was married 58 years until her husband's

death. She was a housewife, loving mother and active member of the Cedar Springs

United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cosby, and three

infant children, William Danny, Dale and Gladys Lafern.

Survivors

5 sons: Roger (Marilyn) Gosser, Indianapolis, IN

             Randy (Margaret) Gosser, New Palestine, IN

             Les (Gail) Gosser, Russell Springs

             Gilbert (Linda) Gosser, Somerset, Ky

             Lanny Gosser, Tateville, Ky

17 grandchildren-25 gr. grandchildren-3 gr.gr. grandchildren

3 brothers: Ancil Roy, Russell Springs; Vernon Roy, Tuscon, AZ

                Berlon Dee Roy, Glasgow, Ky

2 sisters: Evona Withers,

                Susanna Burkett, both of Russell Springs

Funeral service for Gertrude Gosser will be 11 AM. Friday at the

Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Eld. Paul Roy and Bro. Jeff

Griffin officiating. Friends may call after 4:30 PM. Thursday.

Burial in the Cedar Springs Cemetery.
