Jenice Madeline Prater, 85, of Russell Springs, died

Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital.

She was born August 23, 1933 in Russell County to the

late Thomas Newton & Sara Snow Scales.

She was a Bank Teller at First National Bank and a

member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by

her husband, Daniel Wayne Prater and a grandchild, Brandon Ross


2 children: Mark Wayne (Glenda) Prater, Russell Springs

                   Barry Prater, Lexington, Ky (Deborah)

3 grandchildren: Mark Robert (Shavona) Prater, Russell Springs

                          Lauren (Timothy) Wade, Savannah, GA

                          Heather Prater

10 great grandchildren: Ciara, Julia, Brooklynn, Madeline, Ethan, Lydia,

                         Cora, Leigha, Amelia, and Jude

1 half sister: Faye Burton

Funeral service for Jenice Madeline Prater will be at 11 AM. Wednesday,

May 29, 2019 at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Preston Richardson,

Bro. Dennis Price, Bro. Paul Roy, and Bro. Timothy Wade officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM. Tuesday at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel and

after 9 AM. Wednesday until funeral time at 11 AM. at the church.

Interment in the Union Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy suggested to ARC Pregnancy Center in memory

of Madeline Prater. These can ba made at the funeral home.
