Thomas Lee Moore, Jr., 86, of Russell Springs, widower of Rosemary Monitz Moore

passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean

Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was born April 30, 1927 in Waynesville, N.C.

to the late Thomas Lee Moore, Sr. and Della Free Moore. In addition to his wife and

parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ina Ledford Moore, three brothers

and two sisters.

He served in the Army after graduating from high school. After serving in the military he lived

in Michigan before moving to Kentucky where he was able to acheive a lifelong dream of

owning and operating a farm.

He was a member of the Dunnville First Baptist church where he and his wife, Rosemary, were

founding members. He was a faithful servant in many capacities at the church.

He is survived by five children, Della (Jerry) Kincaid, Russell Springs; Paul (Beth) Moore, Versailles;

Joe Moore, ashland, KS; Martha (Tom) Singleton, Somerset; Lydia (James) Holtzclaw, Jamestown;

eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by seven brothers and

six sisters. all from North Carolina

Funeral service for Thomas Lee Moore, Jr. will be 10 AM. Ct. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the

Dunville First Baptist Church. Friends may call 5 PM. CT. Monday at the Bernard Funeral Home

in Russell Springs after 8 AM. Tuesday at the church.

Officiating clergy: Bro. John Bennett

Burial in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy.

Pallbearers: Tom Singleton, James Holtzclaw, Daniel Aycock, Matt Thomas

                      Scott George, Dylan Murphy

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. These can be

made at the funeral home.
