Albert H. Swanson, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, left this world peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2023. He was born on February 14, 1933, in Russell County, to the late Bulon H. and Mary C. Luttrell Swanson. Albert was 90 years of age.
Al retired from General Electric after 37 years of service to the company and was a member of the Boaz Masonic Lodge #850 F.& A.M., in Louisville. He was known by many people and by many names throughout his life, Al; Dad; Brother; Grandpa; Papoo; Uncle Albert; and Big Al.
Al is survived by his daughters, Debra Kinnerson, of Hardinsburg; Rosa Saettel, of New Albany, Indiana; and Jennifer Humes, of Paris; a sister, June Coffey, of Russell Springs; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Al is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of almost 65 years, Janouise Thomas Swanson; a son, Joel M. Swanson; a daughter, Lisa J. Blasi; a grandson, Daniel Saettel; and a granddaughter, Kari Gee.
Funeral services are 1:00 PM CST Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Joe Branscum officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Russell Springs Masonic Lodge #941 F. & A.M. Burial will follow in Cedar Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM CST, at the funeral home on Saturday.
