Alta Zimmerman

Alta M. Zimmerman, of Russell Springs, passed from this life on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at T J Samson Health, in Glasgow.  She was 94 years of age.

Ms. Alta was born March 22, 1930, in the Ono Community of Russell County, daughter of the late Carson and Lillie McGowan Moran.  She spent many years working for Russell Sportswear and Fruit of the loom, respectively. 

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Zimmerman, of Glasgow, and Randy (and Debbie) Zimmerman, of Lawrenceburg; her daughter, Beulah Gaskin, of Jamestown; her brothers, Roger (and Pat) Moran, of Terre Haute, Indiana and Phillip (and Loretta), of Nancy; her grandchildren, Warren Craig Gaskin, Scott Elliott Gaskin, Richard Zimmerman, Joshua Zimmerman, Courtney Hart and Gabrielle Slugantz; and her great-grandchildren, Rusty Gaskin, Rylie Gaskin, Kobi Gaskin, Donnie Gaskin, Ethan Gaskin, Benjamin Gaskin, Joseph Zimmerman, Stella Slugantz, Rylan Slugantz and Samuel Hart.

Ms. Alta is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Zimmerman; and her grandson, Darren Gaskin; and her siblings, George Cleveland Moran, Leva Clotfelter, James Woodrow Moran, Sr., Lindsey C. Moran and Linda Lou Davis.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2024, in Bethlehem Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating.
