Anice Vergine “Ann” Harris McGowan, the only living child of Grady Cyle Harris and Etta Belle Popplewell Harris, both deceased, passed away October 26, 2024, in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born February 12, 1939, in Russell County, Kentucky.
Ann was the widow of the late Ewell Gene McGowan.
She leaves behind three children, Ronnitta Ann Dunham and husband, Mike; Rhettlee Cyle “Mack” McGowan and wife, Sylvia; and Gene Chadlee McGowan and wife, Betty. Five granddaughters, Krista Byrd, Briana Dodd, Jessica Emmick, Katrina McGowan and Kimberlee McGowan; one grandson, Cody McGowan; and two step-grandsons, Nathan Mayo and Nicolas Mayo. Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren, Brenden, Jacob, Aiden, Addison, Kaelynn, Kade, Kelsey, Willow, Ella, Graham, Benjamin, Westley, Brileigh, Karsyn and Ryder; and two step-great-grandchildren, Thea and Maggie.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. CST, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Dallas Luttrell officiating. Burial will follow in Popplewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 10:00 a.m. CST, Saturday, until the time of funeral services.
