Anna Lou Conover, of Russell Springs, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation, in Jamestown. She was 101 years, 2 months, and 30 days of age.
Born December 3, 1924, in Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Timothy and Kitty Bryant Cravens. At the age of 22, on her birthday, December 3, 1946, Ann married the love of her life, L.B. Conover. Their wonderful union lasted for 72 glorious years, until L.B. passed away on July 22, 2018. Ann was a talented seamstress, loved to sew and she worked at Russell Sportswear for many years. Ann also enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. Ann loved the Lord and her family, and she will be dearly missed by those she has left behind.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce (and Elaine) Conover, of Russell Springs and Blaine Conover, of St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter, Barbara Beard, of Glasgow; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, L.B. Conover; son, Brad Conover; daughter, Beryl McClure; two grandchildren, Eric Beard and Seneca Conover; great grandchild, Lukas McClure; six brothers, Logan Cravens, Paul Cravens, Charles Cravens, George Cravens, Garnett Cravens, and Carl Cravens; two sisters, Sarah Moss and Eula Mae Wencke; and a son-in-law, Dean Beard.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM CST Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Richard Antle officiating. Burial will follow in the Conover Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home and continue until the time of services.
Jordan Conover, Matt McClure, Cory Beard, Jackie McQuery, Zach Cramer, and J. B. Bernard will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Conover Cemetery Fund. These can be left at the funeral home or mailed to Chris Bledsoe, 2785 Gentry Mill Road, Russell Springs, KY 42642.
