Arthur Hubbard

Arthur Hubbard, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  He was 76 years of age.

Born January 2, 1947, in Arjay, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Hobert and Gracie Gambrel Hubbard.  Arthur was a former employee of Amtrak, in Beech Grove, Indiana, and retired after 27 years of service to the company as an electrical technician.  He was an Elvis fan and enjoyed race cars.  Arthur could usually be found “tinkering” around with something and he was the type of person who was always able to figure out how to make things work in any situation.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jean Hubbard, of Nancy, Kentucky ; three daughters, Jennifer (and Joe) Perkinson, of Greenfield, Indiana, Stephanie Purvis, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sandy (and Wayne) Radford, of Jamestown, Kentucky; two sons, Richard (and Deana) Stephens, and Tim (and Julie) Stephens, both of Russell Springs, Kentucky; three brothers, Dewey (and Sylvia) Hubbard, of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, Dale (and Mavis) Hubbard, of Pineville, Kentucky, and Leonard (and Mary Lou) Hubbard, of Arjay, Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Jessie Taylor, of Flat Lick, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Ruby Hubbard, of Pineville, Kentucky; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Hubbard; a brother, Virgil Hubbard; a sister, Geraldine Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Marie Hubbard.

Funeral services are 1:00 PM CST, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Eric Richardson officiating.  Burial will be 1:00 PM CST Friday, October 20, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Visitation will be 11:30 AM CST, Wednesday October 18, 2023, at the funeral home, until time of services.
