Arthur Singleton Obituary

Arthur Singleton, of Russell Springs, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset. He was 81 years of age.

Born on May 25, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ella Azalee Anderson Singleton. Arthur was a retired truck driver of over 42 years for Nashville Sash and Door. Arthur was a faithful member and deacon of Thomas Ridge Church. He was a very kind and sweet man, who was also strong willed and independent.  Arthur was an avid fisherman. He loved his family dearly.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Nadine Holtzclaw Singleton, of Russell Springs; three grandchildren, Joshua Derick Brown, Elizabeth Hope Riley, and Jennifer Ann Singleton; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Luni Lee, Jerrica, and Kendall; and one sister, Barbara Baker.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Richard Singleton; two brothers, Donald Singleton and Billy Singleton; and two sisters, Brenda Ramsey and Dorothy Martin.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. C.S.T. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Thomas Ridge Church, in Dunnville, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. C.S.T. until the time of services on Saturday, at the church.

Arthur’s pallbearers will be fellow deacons of Thomas Ridge Church.
