Avis Marie (Powell) Shepherd

Avis Marie Shepherd, 88, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, May 11, 2014

at the Russell County Hospital. She was born September 15, 1925 in Adair

County to the late Jesse & Laura Thomas Powell. She was a homemaker and

a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pascal

Shepherd; a grandson, James Russell Shepherd; 3 sisters, Lucille Powell, Elma

Powell, Erma Muse, and a half brother, Jasper Earls

Survivors

son: Phillip (Pamela) Shepherd, Russell Springs

sister: Imogene Brockman, West Chester, Ohio

several neices & nephews also survive

Funeral service for Avis Marie Shepherd will be 12 PM. Thursday, May 15,

2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Delt Haydon officiating.

Friends may call after 10 AM. Thursday.

Burial in the Tarter Cemetery.
