Ms. Cella Fern Flynn, of the Naomi Community, passed from this life Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center, having attained the age of 94 years and 6 days.
Ms. Cella was born at home in the Trimble Community on December 20, 1930, middle child of nine daughters born to the union of the late Earl and Zula Vaughn Keeney. She was a long-time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Naomi. Cella went to work for the Goodall Corporation, which later became the Palm Beach Company, at the age of 15. Cella set an example to strive for.
She is survived by her children, Michael V. (and Jill) Flynn, of Nancy, Larry Bruce (and Anita) Flynn, of the Norfleet Community, and Cindy Ellen (and David) Smith, of Irvine; her sisters, Doris Keeney Loeser, of Science Hill, Joyce Keeney Flynn, of Somerset, and Judy (and David) Keeney Aker, of Science Hill; her grandchildren, Matthew Bruce Flynn, of Richmond, Marshall Maguire and Ava Maguire, both of Nancy; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
