Charles J. Blankenship

Charles J. Blankenship, of Russell Springs, entered in to rest on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Norton Hospital, in Louisville.  He was born July 23,1948, in Somerset, to Herald Roe and Mallie Jane Stephens Blankenship and was 77 years of age at the time of his passing.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Blankenship, of Russell Springs; daughter, Madelaine P. Blankenship (and Colby) Long, of Brentwood, Tennessee; a brother, Rodney (and Ada) Blankenship, of Russell Springs; three sisters, Patsy (and Gibson) Foley, of Jamestown, Joan Wolford and Kim (and Mike) Foley, both of Russell Springs.

In addition to his parents, Herald and Mallie, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Brent Blankenship and Brandon Blankenship; and a sister, Sandra Kay Foley.

Funeral services are 10:00 AM Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. David Calhoun and Bro. Bucky Walters officiating.  Burial will follow in Bernard Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, August 29, and resume at 8:00 AM Saturday, at the funeral home.
