Charles Bray, of Russell Springs, passed away at his home Monday, June 16, 2025. He was 77 years of age.
Born July 5, 1947, in Adair County, he was a son of the late Elvin and Beatrice Carter Bray. Charles was a proud United States veteran, serving as an Army Ranger and Drill Sergeant for 16 years. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts during his years of service to his country.
Survivors include three sons, Michael “Toe Joe” (and Tammy) Bray, of Russell Springs, Bobby Bray, of Nancy, and Dustin (and Marissa) Bray of New Mexico; and two brothers, Glendal (and Mary) Bray of Grand Rivers, and Eugene (and Glenna) Bray, of Evansville, Indiana; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 7:30 PM CST Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Charles Shepherd officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM Wednesday evening, until time of services.
Graveside services will be 12:00 PM CST, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Russell Springs City Cemetery with full military honors provided by the DAV Honor Guard.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy Selby, Mike Davis, Beneta Stevens, and Irwin.
