Charles Richard Chrisman, of Taylorsville, passed from this life on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was 87 years of age.
Charles was born in Russell County on Friday, December 11, 1936, son of the late Samuel Ray and Alma Katherine McDonald Chrisman. He married Carol Bell on May 14, 1960. There were four children born to their union. Charles worked as a foreman for the General Electric Company.
He and Carol had attended Keys Ferry Baptist Church for many years. Charles was a devoted Christian who loved to sing. He enjoyed watching UK basketball and wrestling; he loved working puzzle books and playing solitaire, and was a huge Trump MAGA supporter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Carol Bell Chrisman; their children, Karen Spencer, of Taylorsville, Charles E. (and Cathy Jo) Chrisman, of Shepherdsville, Angela Denise Lucian, of Taylorsville, and Stacy Allen (and Elizabeth Marie) Chrisman, also of Taylorsville; his sister, Elizabeth Pearl (and Olis K.) Hart, of Salem; his grandchildren, Shannon McCauley, Treva McCauley, Austin Chrisman, Carl Lucian IV, Katie Jo Poston, Kaden Chrisman and Mason Chrisman; and his great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brianna, Cienna, Brennan, Bryson, Silas Ray, August and Charlotte.
Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Donnie Spencer; and a special uncle, Alva Chrisman.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. CST Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Dockery officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 11:00 a.m. CST Saturday, until the time of funeral services.
