Chestlene Mattox

Chestlene Mattox, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Ascension St Vincent Hospital, in Indianapolis. 

Chestlene enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and cooking. She loved to spend time with her family and just being outside, sitting on her porch.

Survivors include one son, Kennie D. (and Kathy) Hill, of Greenfield, Indiana; and four daughters, Patricia A. Johnson, of Cottonwood, Tennessee, Debra L. (and Brent) Magee and Brenda L. (and Scott) Catey, both of New Castle, Indiana, and Michelle (and Greg) Wilson, of Greenwood, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, and a son, Timmie L. Hill.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM CST, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Dixon Cemetery, with Bro. John Bennett officiating.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, and continue until time of service, at the cemetery.
