Danny Tucker

Danny Tucker, of Russell Springs, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Jewish Hospital, in Louisville.  He was 80 years of age.

Born February 16, 1945, in Casey County, he was a son of the late R.V. and Rebecca Luttrell Tucker.  Danny worked for over 30 years as a mechanic at People’s Tobacco Warehouse in Somerset.  He also enjoyed working on cars out of his own garage at home.  Danny formerly attended the old Fountain Run Church.  He was also one of the primary caretakers for Holt-Tucker Ridge Cemetery for many years.

Survivors include his brother, Nicky Tucker, of Russell Springs; a nephew, Charles Tucker, of Louisville; three nieces, Leah Tucker, of Russell Springs, Stephanie (and Chad) Mayes, of Bedford, and Emma Tucker, of Washington D. C; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Tucker, of Louisville; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Stevie Tucker and Omery “Budge” Tucker; and two sisters, Janice Tucker and Sandra Kaye Tucker.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating.  Burial will follow in Holt-Tucker Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM Friday, up until the time of services.

Roger Tucker, David Henderson, Richie Wilson, Jeremy Hopper, Charles Tucker, and Skyler Mayes will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Holt-Tucker Ridge Cemetery Fund.  These can be mailed to Leah Tucker, 347 Hwy 1383, Russell Springs, KY 42642, or left at the funeral home.

Final arrangements for Mr. Danny Tucker are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
