David Withers

Lynn David Withers, of Russell Springs, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.  He was 60 years of age.

David was born on November 29, 1960, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, son of the late Riley H. and Mildred Joyce Hadley Withers.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  David was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

David was an all-around big-hearted guy who never had a mean word to say towards anybody.  He was known for his kindness, everyone "took to” David.  David treated everyone the same, he had no “favorites”; he believed in treating people the way you would want to be treated. 

He loved to fish, especially with his Dad.  He loved going to church.  David loved family gatherings, cookouts and bonfires.  He believed in family sticking together.  David loved to get out, joyriding and sight-seeing.

He is survived by his brother, Keith (and Rhonda) Withers, of Russell Springs; his sister, Cindy Burchett, of Russell Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews, who were all very special to David.

Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Withers and John Withers; and his niece, Rebecca Withers.

Services will be held privately for the family with Bro. David Delk officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Russell County Honor Guard.
