Dennis Ray Grider, of Cincinnati, Ohio, lost his long battle with cancer on Tuesday May 19, 2026, at Hospice of Cincinnati, in Blue Ash, Ohio. He was 71 years of age.
Born September 14, 1954, he was a son of the late Lawson and Lucille Calhoun Grider. Dennis was a former cemetery worker and had dug graves in the Cincinnati area for over 17 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing so much that he was willing to travel 100 miles just to fish for one day at a private lake in Indiana. Dennis will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Erik Grider, of Cincinnati; a daughter, Dennise Renee Grider (and Alex Miller) of Somerset; three grandchildren, Korrianne Warner, Koddi Grider, and Brooklyn Grider; one great grandchild on-the-way; two brothers, Larry Grider, of Russell Springs, and Kenneth Grider, of Cincinnati; two sisters, Sue Blair, of Russell Springs, and Linda Grider, of Columbia.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Mitchell Grider, George Grider, and Jimmie Dale Grider.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM CST Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, in Adair County, with Bro. Delvin Wilson officiating.
