Donnie Ray Stargle

Donnie Ray Stargle, of Russell Springs, passed from this life on Thursday, May 27, 2026, at Russell County Hospital.  He was 81 years of age.

Born March 20, 1945, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Clarence Stargle and Sarah Luttrell Stargle Pickford.  In his younger days, he was a tobacco farmer and a former employee of Tarter Gate.

Survivors include three brothers, Garland Stargle, of Russell Springs, and Arvin Stargle, of Jamestown, and James Stargle, Pensacola, Florida; one sister, Peggy Pierce, of Russell Springs, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Stargle and Kenny Stargle; and two sisters, Easter Passmore and Norma Jean Passmore.

Cremation rites were honored according to the family’s wishes.
