Dorothy Faye Gentry Dyer, of Russell Springs, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at her home. She was 79 years of age.
Dorothy was born on January 25, 1942, in Russell Springs, one of seven children born to the late Hollis and Alice Franklin Gentry. She worked as an inspector for the Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies of Indiana. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra (and Donald) Clark, of Whiteland, Indiana, and Alicia (and Frederick, Jr.) Whittington, of Port Republic, Maryland; two sisters, Ruby Barnett, of Franklin, Indiana, and Wanda Beasley, of Columbus, Indiana; her four grandchildren, Tatiyanna (and Jon) Walters, Frederick Whittington, III, Jessica Wilmer and Emma Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Felix and Josephine.
Along with her parents, preceding Dorothy in death are two brothers, Robert Gentry and Arnold Gentry; and two sisters, Edna Stafford and Lula Flatt.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
