Edith Ann Jessee

Edith Ann Stephens Jessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her home in Lawrenceburg, KY.  She was born on January 19, 1935, in Jabez, KY, to Winford Edwin and Zella Whittle Stephens, who preceded her in death.  She and her husband, Carlos Nelson “Tator” Jessee owned and operated Classic Cleaners in Lawrenceburg until their retirement.  Carlos preceded her in death in 2002.  Edith then worked at Walmart until her second retirement at age 78.

She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Nina Frances Stephens (Tyson “Buster”), and her brother, Rupert Keith Stephens.  She is survived by one son, Edwin Keith “Eddie” Jessee (Phyllis), Springhill, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Allen Jessee and Ryan Nicole Jessee of Lawrenceburg, KY, Hayden Denny, Springhill, FL, sister-in-law Mary Rose Stephens, Tampa, FL, niece Sharon Gant (Ivan), Corbin, KY and nephew Joel Stephens (Janet), Tampa, FL along with many other family and friends who mourn her passing.

Services will be at the Bernard Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2024, with visitation from 10:00 am CDT until the services at 11:00 am CDT.  She will be buried at Bethlehem Cemetery.   Officiating at the service will be Brother Billy Silverman.
