Emma Wilson Thomas, age 88, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Russell Springs, passed away July 16, 2022.
Emma was the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Mary Ada Foley Wilson. She a member of New Friendship Church.
Survivors include a son, Nelson Thomas (and Amneh), of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Lovella T. Scanlon (and Paul), of Mt. Washington, and Anita M. Thomas, of Taylorsville; a foster son, William C. Brown (and Lynette), of Leonard, Texas; a sister, Edith V. Wilson, of Russell Springs; one brother-in-law, Bro. Carl M. Thomas, of Shepherdsville; two grandchildren, Clayton T. Reesor (and Joni), and Carley R. Reesor (and Jesse), of Mt. Washington; two great-grandchildren, Alayna Reesor and Ethan T. Reesor, of Mt. Washington; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Emma is proceeded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Kenneth E. Thomas; six sisters, Elizabeth Foley, Alice Jean Lee, Helen James, Joan Wilson, Dean Wilson, and Bonnie Franklin; and four brothers, Jimmy Wilson, Everett Wilson, Bennie Wilson, and Maxwell Wilson.
Visitation was from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 20, 2022, with services at 1:00 PM, with Bro. Carl M. Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Highland Memory Gardens, in Mt. Washington.
Pallbearers for Emma were her nephews, Terry Thomas, Kenton Thomas, Parker Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Rex Wilson, and Joey Wilson.
