Eudoxie Goff

Eudoxie Hopper Goff, of Russell Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, January 8, 2023, at the Russell County Hospital. She was 97 years of age.

Born on May 27, 1925, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late James Monroe and Mary Walters Hopper. Eudoxie was a retired seamstress with over forty years of service at Palm Beach. She was also a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church. Eudoxie was a very independent lady who loved her family and her cat, Gracie, dearly.

Survivors include her sister, Clarice Hopper Fields of Elizabethtown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eudoxie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William T. “Bill” Goff, who passed away on December 8, 2000; three brothers, Rev. Olka Hopper, Claude Hopper, and Rev. Olin Hopper; and five sisters, Lora Dause, Patrie McBeath, Roxie Rexroat, Beulah Garner, and Halla Smith.

Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church, with Bro. Bill Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2023, and will continue after 8:00 A.M. until time of services on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church.
