Gladna (Coffey) Isaacs

Gladna Coffey Isaacs, of Owenton, formerly of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at her home. She was 88 years of age.

Born at home, on September 17, 1935, in Russell Springs, she was the daughter of the late Ovis and Elma Wisdom Coffey. Ms. Gladna retired from US Playing Card Company after thirty years. She was a very active member of Parksridge Church of God, where she played piano for over twenty-five years, until the time she moved back to Owenton. Ms. Gladna’s faith and her family was her focus in life. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Gladna enjoyed working with her flowers.

Ms. Gladna is survived by her daughter, Karen Sue (and Bruce) Wash, of Owenton; three grandchildren, Andrea (and Jared) Fitzgerald, Michael Wash, and Isaac Wash; and two great-grandchildren, Casen Fitzgerald, and Amelia Jayne Fitzgerald.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Gladna was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Isaacs, who passed away on April 21, 2018; and her son, Michael David Isaacs.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. C.S.T. Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Billy Silverman officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. C.S.T. until time of services on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Wash, Michael Wash, Isaac Wash, Jared Fitzgerald, Michael Pierce, and Skyler Silverman.
