Glenda Bryant Obituary

Glenda Kay Bryant, of Russell Springs, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at her home.  She was 79 years of age.

Glenda was born in Columbia, on August 22, 1942, daughter of the late Leonard and Nellie Roberts Bryant.  She was valedictorian of Adair County High School’s graduating class her Senior year.    Glenda was secretary for Russell Sportswear, then was secretary at Fruit of the Loom, until her retirement. 

Glenda was a loving, giving person.  To say her grandchildren were her world would be an understatement.  Glenda left a good impression on everyone she would meet.  She enjoyed being with family and loved working with her flowers.

She is survived by her children, Laura Marlene Ragle (Bob), Sherman Wayne Burton (Anne), Vickie Marie Kidd (Terry) and Janet Sue Wall (Donnie); her grandchildren, Tonya Nichole Stargel, Aime Collett, Lisa Marie Akin, Brittany Bearden, Eric Wendell Neat, Christopher Morris Wall, Michael Lynn Wall and Anthony James Wall; her brothers, Clifton R. Bryant (Velma), Bennie D. Bryant (Dora), Merriel D. Bryant (Maw), Michael E. Bryant (Monica), and Danny L. Bryant (Sue); her sisters, Sharon E. Bryant, Beverly Bryant Teramoto and Debbie Bryant-Hudson; her sister-in-law, Elaine Bryant; and her 32 great-grandchildren, Madison Stargel, Nicholas Stargel, Kenzie Hobbs, Aiden Feltner, Jaxson Feltner, Spencer Feltner, Grayson Sizemore, Sommer Collett, Harleigh Collett, Jerred Collett, Khloe Collett, Trey Neat, Zion Neat, Micah Neat, Caleb Akin, Callie Akin, Carly Akin, Blaise Wall, Hope Wall, Keera Wall, Haili Wall, Jackson Sinclair, Kylie Sinclair, Brody Bearden, Jaylen Montgomery, Jayden Montgomery, McKenna Wall, Cade Wall, Mark Hutchinson, Coleton Wall, Lilee Wall, Andrew Melson, and Olivia Melson.

Along with her parents, Glenda is preceded in death by her two brothers, Travis E. Bryant and Leonard Bryant, Jr.; and her granddaughter, Stacy Collett Hobbs.

All services will be held privately for the family.
