Gregory Lynn Stapp

Gregory Lynn Stapp, age 71, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away on November 30, 2024. He was born on August 6, 1953, to the late Lester and Captola Stapp. Greg professed his faith in Christ on October 30, 2024.

Greg learned the construction trade from his father, who took him on the road with him right after his high school graduation. A dedicated bridge builder for almost 50 years, he was known for his unwavering commitment to his work.

Seldomly did you see him out without his dog, George. He loved spending his time fishing and gardening. His passion for firearms made him a well-respected gun enthusiast within his community, where he shared knowledge and love for the sport with family and friends.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Captola Stapp; and his daughter, April Dawn Austin.

Greg is survived by his wife, Dianna Austin Stapp; his children, Allison (and Steve) Best, Robbie (and Kelly) Stapp, and Tiffany (and Brandon) Garner; proud Pepa of Jordan Best, Hunter (and Bailey) Best, Grant (and Audrey) Best, Alexis (and Andrew) Hays, Jackson Best, Mia Best, Kobi Stapp, Kayden Garner, Keaton Garner, Dylan Stapp, Dru (and Makatlyn) Stapp, and Karly Stapp; proud great-Pepa of Riverlin, Roman, and Hayes Best; brother of Steve Stapp, and Diane “Sissy” (and Richard) Antle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no public service. He chose cremation long before his sickness. A unique celebration of life will be held privately for the immediate family only.
