Harold Ramage Obituary

Harold Dean Ramage (aka Hallelujah Harold), passed away at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Jamestown, Kentucky, Saturday September 13th of this year and awoke in the Presence of his Creator and Redeemer, entering into HIS Presence forever.

Harold was born May 2, 1938, in Salem, Kentucky.  At the age of four, he was placed in the Masonic Orphans and Widows Home in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was the youngest of eleven born to Ivory Ramage and Lenora Mae (Walker) Ramage. Harold lived at the orphanage until he graduated from Eastern Kentucky High School in Louisville.  He was an impressive athlete.  He earned a basketball scholarship to LWC in Columbia.  He joined the United States Navy and played basketball for the four years he was enlisted.  Harold was a challenging athlete in several sports, even into his sixties.

He wedded the love of his life from Columbia, Kentucky, in February of 1957.  Harold’s first love was JESUS CHRIST since his early 30’s.  His second love was Sharon Kathleen (Ballou) Ramage; the only woman he ever loved.  They have shared the love of JESUS CHRIST together for 68 years. Harold was also a Gideon.  He spent many years sharing his testimony, spreading the Word of God, and placing bibles in the hands of those searching for the truth.

Harold was a retired employee of the City of Jamestown Water Works Plant.

Harold leaves behind his wife, Sharon, and the six children they raised together, Deborah (Ramage) Prichard, of Russell Springs, Marlin Dean Ramage of Gradyville, Ardyth (Ramage) Galito, of Russell Springs, Karen (Ramage) Emerson, of Jamestown, Sharon (Ramage) Morris of Campbellsville, and adopted son, Robert Warner Bonner, of Louisiana. Family was very important to Harold. He loved his childhood and teen years at the Home.

He also leaves behind 49 Great-and-Grand-Children, with one to arrive any day now!
