Inez York

Inez York, of Dunnville, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center, in Danville.

Born April 28, 1952, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Ethard and Eva Miller Popplewell.  Inez worked for many years as a seamstress with Osh Kosh, Russell Sportswear and Fruit of the Loom.

She is survived by her husband, Elvin York; her sons, Stephen Popplewell, of Dunnville, David (and Angie) York, of Jamestown and Lonnie Roy, of Russell Springs; her daughter, Jennifer (and Corey) Seals, of Yukon, Oklahoma; her brothers, Hearl Popplewell, Aubrey Popplewell and Gervin Popplewell; her sisters, Aldene Kiefer and Andell Hanlon; and her grandchildren, Aylee Ellis, Noah Ellis, Riley Ellis, Kendall Roy and Jasmine Roy.

Along with her parents, Inez is preceded in death by her brothers, Gradith Popplewell and Garnett Popplewell; and her sisters, Darlene Shell, Redith Stinson and Nelphia Wilson.

Services will be held privately by her family.  Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
