Jarvis Lynn Higginbotham

Jarvis Lynn Higginbotham, of Russell Springs, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020.  He was 80 years of age.

Born on April 4, 1940, in Russell County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Addis and Gustava Bennett Higginbotham. Jarvis was a retired construction superintendent for Gray Construction and a member of Russell Springs Christian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and riding his gator. Jarvis also served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy (and Larry) Rooks of Columbia; three grandchildren, Justin Hogan, Neil Rooks, and Brian Neil; two great-grandchildren, Eli Hogan and Trinity Rooks; and one sister, Agnes Beasley of Russell Springs.

In addition to his parents, Jarvis was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Irwin Higginbotham, who passed away on August 31, 2018; and one sister, Brenda Wilson.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Russell Springs City Cemetery.
