Juanita Gosser, 91, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at her home in Nicholasville. She was born August 16, 1930, in Russell County to the late Arvel and Erie Meece Thomas. She was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church. Juanita spent her career as a teacher in Jefferson County to retire and live with her husband on their farm in Casey County. There she enjoyed her flowers and had a greenhouse business, Windsor Nursery. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, loving nothing more than to spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Gosser; sister, Georgia Massey; brother, Lowell B. Thomas; brother, Norris Thomas; and sister, Virginia Lucas.
Survivors are one son, James (Joni) Gosser, of Nicholasville; two grandchildren, Emilee (Michael) Evans, of Nicholasville and Ryan Gosser, of Nicholasville; two great-grandchildren, Kayven Gosser, of Nicholasville and Kyler Gosser, of Nicholasville; and two sisters, Geraldine (Thomas) Canada, of Dunnville and Mary T. (Gary) McCormick, of Eldorado Hills, California.
Funeral services for Juanita Gosser will be 1:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Cedar Springs United Baptist Church, with Bro. Larold Gosser officiating. Entombment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens, in Somerset.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, at the church.
