Lavone Johnson

Lavone Johnson, of Russell Springs, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her home. She was 84 years of age.

Born on September 7, 1941, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Sarah Sullivan Johnson. Lavone was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing and loved spending time with her church family.

Lavone is survived by her children, Jackie Anderson, Bernice (and Rick) Wilson, and Julene Hopper, all of Russell Springs; two grandchildren, Shelby Wilson and Tanner Anderson; and a special friend, Dale Samson, of Russell Springs.

In addition to her parents, Lavone was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Donnie Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in Holt Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until the time of services on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Crew, Donnie Bunch, Richie Wilson, Chris Smith, Rick Wilson, and Richard King.
