Leontine "Teen" (Grider) Bihr

Leontine “Teen” Grider-Bihr, of Russell Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at her home.  She was 92 years of age.

Born July 15, 1933, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Ruel and Mary Beck Grider.  Teen was a graduate of seminary college in Cincinnati, and a former Sunday School teacher.  She attended Russell Springs and Jamestown Christian Church.  Teen was a homemaker, who enjoyed traveling at every opportunity.  She was also an avid watcher of hummingbirds from her porch.

Survivors include her niece, Susan (and Jerry) Melton, of Russell Springs, her nephews, Steve (and Jan) Brumley and Tyler Brumley, both of Russell Springs; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bihr, of Florida; a granddaughter, Dilya Bihr, of Florida; sister-in-law, Wilma Grider, of Lexington; special caregiver, Judy Bell; and all of the neighbors on Hopper Street that she considered family.

In addition to her parents, Teen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Bihr; two brothers, Joe Bob Grider and Hollis Grider; and a sister, Helen Brumley; and step-son, Michael Bihr.

Per Teen’s wishes, cremation rites were honored, and no services will be held.

Inurnment will take place at Mill Springs National Cemetery, in Nancy, Kentucky.

Bernard Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
