Linnie Gadberry

Linnie K. Gadberry, of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, in Somerset.

Linnie was born February 1, 1943, in Casey County, daughter of the late William “Dutch” and Odessa Tucker Daniel.  She taught head-start for eleven years in the Russell Springs area before earning her nursing degree.  Linnie spent thirty-five years in the nursing field, working at different healthcare facilities including many years at Summit Manor and Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Linnie enjoyed crocheting and loved to read.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Burton (and Amber Thomas) and Thomas Burton (and Brandy Adkins), both of Russell Springs, and James (and Lisa) Burton, of Eli; her daughters, Wilda (and Frank) Snider, of Liberty, and Debbie Winningham, of Russell Springs; her sister, Brenda Sue Daniel, of Russell Springs; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Linnie is preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Butch Crawford; her brother, J.C. Daniel; her sisters, Marie Cooper and Jo Ann Polston; and her grandchildren, Christopher Lee Pickett and April Lynn Burton.

A Celebration of the Life of Linnie K. Gadberry will be held at her home, on her birthday, 1445 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.
