Lois Conner

Alma Lois Conner, of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset.  She was 79 years of age.

Lois was born June 1, 1943, in Russell Springs, daughter of the late Forest and Ona West Russell.  She was a woman of deep faith who loved her Lord and her family.  Lois’ life revolved around her family.  She was well known for her seamstress handiwork and had her own quilting and alterations business.  Lois attended Heritage Hope Church of God in Somerset for many years.

She is survived by her children, Carol (and Wayne) Akers, of Somerset, John Conner, of Russell Springs, Michael Conner, of Russell Springs, and Steve (and Annie) Conner, of Somerset; her brother, Glen (and Margie) Russell, of Russell Springs; her nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Along with her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Conner, who passed away June 6, 2005; and her siblings, Enola Wooldridge, Theola Skaggs, Alonas Russell, Agnes Maxine Miller, Forest Ray Russell, Mary Lola Skaggs, Emma Janice Rowland, Gladys Lena Dunbar and Ruth Chapman.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. CST, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating.  Musical selections will be chosen by Larry and Marsha Skaggs.  Interment will follow in McBeath Cemetery.  Lois’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. CST, on Saturday, until time for funeral services.
