Lois Maxine Withers

Lois Maxine Withers, of Russell Springs, passed away January 7, 2021, at UK Albert B. Chandler Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky.  She was 84 years of age.

Born on July 15, 1936, in Windsor, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Coy and Ida Delk Dick.  Maxine was a housewife, homemaker, and a wonderful grandmother.  She loved being outdoors, taking care of her flowers, and watching UK ballgames.  Maxine was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Janell (and Doug) Grider of Science Hill; a son, Melvin Withers (and Beth) of Russell Springs; four grandchildren, Tiffany Withers and Jeff Withers of Russell Springs, Seth Grider of Science Hill, and Kayden Durham of Russell Springs; two sisters, Margie Withers and Mildred (and Larry) Magruder; three brothers, Richard Dick, Doug (and Sandy) Dick, and Boyd (and Debbie) Dick.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Withers; a brother, J.M. Dick; and a brother-in-law, Elmo Withers.

Funeral services will be held privately for family only on Thursday, January 14, 2021.  Burial will follow in the Wilkerson Cemetery.

Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance.  Facial coverings are required.
