Loretta P. (Popplewell) Hare

Loretta Hare, 78, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her home.

She was born April 3, 1935 in Russell County to the late Grady & Eva Wilson Popplewell.

She was a cosmotologist. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Red Hat Society,

a member of the Russell Springs Bowling League and active member of the Lion's Club,

being a past president and secretary.

Preceded in death by her husband, Alva B. Hare; a sister, Maxine Bolin; and 3 brothers,

William (Billy) Attis Popplewell, Joe Finley Popplewell, Jimmy Dale Popplewell

Survivors:

2 children: Bobby D. (Kylene) Gaskin, Fairland, Indiana

                 Vicki L. (Joseph) Nevins, Indianapolis, IN

4 step children: David Hare, Jamestown; Karen White, Mt. Vernon, Ky

                   Danita Riter, Columbia, KY; Sandra Weiand, Russell Springs

6 grandchildren-6 great grandchildren

3 sisters: Betty Jean Ashbrook, Barbara Ann Herron, Judith Gail Rayburn, all of Whiteland, IN

1 brother: Danny Ray Popplewell, Franklin, IN

Funeral service for Loretta P. Hare will be 1 PM. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at

the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Ryan officiating.

Friends may call after 5 PM. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial in the Russell Springs City Cemetery.
