Lucian Lilburn Reynolds

Lucian Lilburn Reynolds, of Nancy, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was 81 years of age.

Born on February 24, 1941, in the Meadow Creek community of Wayne County, he was a son of the late Knarvel and Dosha Mae Morrow Reynolds. Lucian was a self-taught auto mechanic who loved building and racing racecars.  He also enjoyed gardening and working on his property.

Lucian is survived by his wife, Violet Russell of Russell Springs; two daughters, Deanna (and Anthony) Coyle of Greensburg, Indiana, and Dorcas Reynolds-Young of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (and Sue) Reynolds of Monticello.

In addition to his parents, Lucian was preceded in death by one son, Charles E. Reynolds; one great-grandchild, Drayden Keith Collins; and ten brothers and sisters.

Per Lucian’s wishes, cremation rites were honored by Bernard Funeral Home.

A private family service will be held at a later date with inurnment to follow in McBeath Cemetery.

The family requests that donations of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
