Marla Sue (Jones) Skaggs

Marla Sue Skaggs, of Russell Springs, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Summit Manor Nursing Facility, in Columbia. She was 72 years of age.

Marla was born on October 21, 1953, in Arkansas, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Conley Jones. Marla was a former employee of Fruit of the loom. She was an avid sewer and quilter. Marla loved her children and grandchildren and cherished every minute she got to spend with them.

She is survived by her sons, Ed Shepherd and Bobby (and Linda) Shepherd, both of Russell Springs; four grandchildren, Bethany Stamm, of Nebraska, Alex Snider, of Indiana, Danielle Shepherd, of Russell Springs, and Caleb Couch, of Indiana; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Frankie (and Mary) Jones, of Missouri; and her sister, Fonda (and Marty) Landon, of Indiana.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Charles Shepherd officiating.
