Matt Jones

Matt Jones, of Jamestown, passed from this life on July 23, 2025, at his home.  He was 58 years of age.

Born September 26, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of the late Roy and Ada Miller Jones.  Matt was a licensed electrician and a former employee in the maintenance department at Fruit of the Loom in Jamestown.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Lorie Hall Jones, of Jamestown; son, Matthew (and Tiffany) Jones, of Jamestown; brother, Roy Emerson Jones III, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Rebecca Jean Reneer and Rita Lynn Malone, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; one granddaughter, Arrianna Jones; mother-in-law, Joyce Hall, of Jamestown; and special friend, Nova Redmon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings, Mark Jones, Carl Jay Woolum, Lela Kay Vandergraft, and Lora Lee Lehmkuhl.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Jamestown City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 11:00 AM on Sunday and continue until the time of services.

Matthew Jones, Barry Brown, Carl Williams, Josh Jones, James Redmon, and Mikey Ryan will serve as pallbearers.
