Melissa Dawn (Acree) Rowe

Melissa Dawn Acree Rowe, of Somerset, formerly of Russell Springs, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.  She was 47 years of age.

Born on December 8, 1973, in Somerset, she was the daughter of Jeffrey and Sandra Paulette Roy Acree.  She earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Therapy through her studies at Lindsey Wilson College and Somerset Community College.  She married Theron Rowe on June 10, 2019.  Melissa loved spending time with her family.  She liked to cook, fish and work in her garden.

She is survived by her husband, Theron Rowe; her father, Jeff Acree, of Russell Springs; her step-sons, Jacob Rowe and Jared Rowe, both of Somerset; her grandchildren, Rayden Rowe, Kaiden Rowe, Jack Rowe and Hunter Rowe; her aunts, uncles and cousins; and two special friends, Regina Woods and Jackie Redmon.

Preceding Melissa in death is her mother, Sandra Paulette Acree.

Funeral Services are Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. CST, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Richie Curtis officiating.  Burial will be in White’s Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Barry Stephens, Brian Atchley, Shawn Atchley, Nathan Acree, Roger York and Brandon York.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. CST on Saturday, at Bernard Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to White’s Chapel Cemetery.
