Melody Lynne Hines Gibson, of Jamestown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Russell County Hospital. She was 70 years of age.
Born on November 30, 1949, in Hobart, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey James Hines and the late Virginia David Groomer. Melody was a homemaker, a member of Jamestown Christian Church, and a former cafeteria worker for Wheeler High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. Melody loved playing cards, board games, and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling, and boating on the lake.
Survivors include her beloved husband, John Gibson of Jamestown, whom she wed on February 22, 1973; one son, Ronnie (and Terri) Gibson of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one daughter, Jodi (and Jared) Cassidy of Kenova, West Virginia; two grandchildren, Samantha Cassidy and Toby Gibson; one brother, David Hines of Medaryville, Indiana; and a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Melody was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Hines and Doug Hines.
