Owen Henry Thomas

Owen Henry Thomas, of Russell Springs, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Jamestown. He was 91 years of age.

Owen was born on June 23, 1934, in Russell County, a son of the late Claude Ellis and Mary Ocie Gaskin Thomas. Owen was a member of the Church of Christ and was a gospel minister for over 60 years.

Survivors include his children, Carthel Thomas, of Russell Springs, Kenneth Thomas, of North Carolina, and Sunny DeBaun, of Ohio; and several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Owen was preceded in death by his wife, Glenodine Holt Thomas, who passed away on April 3, 2020; his brothers, C.L. Thomas, Earl Thomas, and Ronnie Thomas; and his sisters, Joyce Bunch, and Fay Wade.

A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Wilkerson Cemetery.

There will be no services.
