Paul Russell Anteau, of Jamestown, Kentucky, formerly of Flat Rock, Michigan, passed from this life Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Russell County Hospital. He was 58 years of age.
Paul, who liked to call himself “Pauly”, was born in Dearborn, Michigan, son of Russell and Susan Kay Mason Anteau. With Paul, family would always come first, and he was extremely close to his siblings. He appreciated art and enjoyed football. Paul was a kind, loving man who had a saying that “I’ve always tried to treat everyone the way I want to be treated.”
He was a loving son, brother and friend, who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Russell and Susan Anteau, of Jamestown, Kentucky; his brother, Scott (and Andra) Anteau, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his sisters, Michelle (and William) Pefley, of West Chester, Ohio, and Annette Kovacs, of Taylor, Michigan; his nephew, Kevin (and Chrissy) Pefley; his niece, Marion (and Jeremy Larsen) Cunningham; two great-nephews, Leo Pefley and Luca Pefley; a special friend, Vincent Strolley; and numerous friends and relatives.
Preceding Paul in death are his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Isabel Anteau; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Evalina Mason; his brother-in-law, Robert Kovacs; and his nephew, Eric Pefley.
A private family memorial service celebrating the life of Paul Russell “Pauly” Anteau will be held at a later date.
