Phyllis Ann Abrell DeHart, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Russell County Hospital. She was 73 years of age.
Born on August 9, 1952, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Dorothy Antle Sullivan. Phyllis was a retired seamstress, having worked for herself, as well as Fruit of the Loom and Suttons. She was a member of Russell Springs Church of God, where she was a certified Sunday School teacher. Phyllis loved reading and studying her Bible and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Justin (and Kristen) Burton, of Russell Springs, Heather (and Keith) Brown, of Russell Springs, Michael Pierce, of Columbia, and Tara Pierce, of Russell Springs; her great-grandchildren, Grady Burton, Bayley Burton, Leah Brown, Dayne Burton, and Hannah Brown; her sister, Anita Morgan, of Russell Springs; her sons-in-law, Joe David Burton, of Columbia, and Mark Pierce, of Columbia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughters, Vanessa Laureen Burton and Tracey Lynn Pierce; and her husbands, Elder Ray “Joe” Abrell, RC Beane, and Clifford DeHart.
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Josh Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Brockman-Kerr Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, at Bernard Funeral Home, and will continue from 7:30 A.M. until the time of services on Friday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Justin Burton, Michael Pierce, Mitchell Morgan, Ross Morgan, Brian Moore, and Danny Abrell.
