Raymond Camp Obituary

Raymond Lee Camp, of Russell Springs, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, having attained the age of 76 years, 7 months and 24 days.

Raymond was born Sunday, September 19, 1948, in Noblesville, Indiana, son of the late Bertie and Barbara McDole Camp.  He served his country as a United States Marine in the Vietnam War.  His travels with the military inspired Raymond to encourage his children to see the world and he reminded his family often to make time to enjoy life.  Raymond loved to eat, go fishing and play cards, he enjoyed a round of golf and watching NASCAR.  He attended Three Trees Church.

Surviving Raymond is the family he loved so dearly; his wife, Connie Blair Camp; his son, Richard “Buzz” (and Paula) Camp, of Jamestown; his daughter, Sabrina (and Ray) Sheppard, of Jamestown; his step-daughter, Angela (and Bryan) Newby; his brother, Charles Eugene Camp, of Oklahoma; his sister, Sue Daniels, of Columbia; and a host of grandbabies and great-grandbabies.

Along with his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers, Bertie Camp and Willard Camp.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro.
