Regina Bradshaw Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce Regina Bradshaw, 90, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 12, 2025, in Moorpark, California.

Born on October 17, 1934, in Glens Fork, Kentucky, she was the eldest child of Pearl and Velmer Kelly. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Regina lived a full and inspiring life.

At 16, Regina met the love of her life, Lester Marshall Bradshaw, in Russell County, Kentucky. The high school sweethearts married in 1952, and together, they built a life centered on family, love, and community. As the years progressed, Regina became an extraordinary mother to four sons and served as the founding President of Bradshaw Construction Corp. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, sharing her love of history and heritage.

While raising her family in Maryland, Regina often returned to Kentucky for summers houseboating on Lake Cumberland, where she created cherished memories with family, friends and loved ones. In later years, she and Lester traveled the world, experiencing new cultures and adventures while building upon their beautiful life together. In retirement, they settled in Oldsmar, Florida, where their home became a beloved gathering place for family and friends. Lester and Regina had an incredible 66-year marriage before Lester passed away in October 2019.

Regina is survived by her sister, Nancy Hislope; her sons, Lester Jr., Jeff and Bob Bradshaw; her daughters-in-law, Shannon, Barbara and Kirsten; her grandchildren, Sherrie, Kristi, Sara, Kyle, Elliott, Jordan, Jack, Kathy, Victoria, David and Morgan; along with many great-grandchildren, additional family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Velmer Kelly; her husband, Lester Bradshaw; her son, Joe David Bradshaw; her brothers, Donald and Darvin Kelly; and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bradshaw.
