Rex Allen Eastham, of Russell Springs, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset. He was 74 years of age.
Born July 31, 1951, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Grace Whittle Eastham and Kirby Eastham. Rex was a farmer; and formerly employed at General Electric, Tecumseh, and worked at Popplewell’s Alligator Boat Dock for 18 years. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. Rex was a “people person”, loved to engage with others, and was the type of person that never met a stranger. His presence will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Nancy Lee Eastham; a son, Jason Eastham, of Russell Springs; two daughters, Amy Eastham and Amber (and Brian) Grippe, both of Russell Springs; three sisters, Gayla Sue Kerr, of Russell Springs, Treva (and Roger) Meirose, of Ohio, Tina Milliner, of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, David Eastham, Jr., Dakota Eastham, Madison Snow, Maxton Grippe, and one on the way; one great grandchild, Jayden Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, David Eastham; and a sister, Phyllis Holder.
Funeral services are 11:00 AM Friday, January 16, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Troy Coffey and Brother Billy Silverman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunshine, at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Visitation for the public will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 15, and will resume at 7:30 AM on Friday.
Jason Eastham, Jayden Martin, Rodney Eastham, Kyle Hall, Roger Meirose, and Wesley Davis will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to offset the cost of funeral expenses.
