Ricky Lee Johnson

Ricky Lee Johnson, age 60, of Russell Springs, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2022, at his home, with his loving wife of 34 years by his side.

Born May 17, 1961, in Russell Springs, he was the son of Nova Wright Johnson and the late Arlo Johnson.  Besides his father, Ricky is preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Johnson and one sister, Peggy Johnson Stratton.

Ricky married Megan Lawson on September 11, 1987, in Russell Springs.  He was a member of Welfare Church.  He loved being outdoors, especially going hunting and fishing.  He loved his grandbabies.  Ricky was always staying busy; you couldn’t keep up with him.  Whatever he did, Ricky gave his all.

He is survived by his wife, Megan; daughter, Jennifer (and David) Sneed, of Columbia; daughter, Cheryl (and fiancée Eric Grider), of Russell Springs; and one son, Thomas (and Robyn) Johnson, of Russell Springs.  In addition to his wife and three children, he is survived by his mother, Nova Johnson, of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Braxton Withers, Stevie Kate Grider, Finn Johnson, Reagan, Maddie and Eve Sneed; and his siblings, Ronald (and Deidre) Johnson, Dallas (and Jean) Johnson, Marvin (and Ann) Johnson, Betty (and Steve) McBeath, and Sandra (and Cliff) Honaker, all of Russell Springs.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Darrin Blair officiating.  Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Logan Johnson, James Johnson, Dillon Embry, Steve McBeath and Cliff Honaker.

Visitation will be held after 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at Bernard Funeral Home, until time for services at 2:00 p.m.
