Robert Rudy Hubbard, of Russell Springs, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, at Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset. He was 75 years of age.
Born September 2, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Virginia Ashcraft Hubbard. Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired as a Captain after serving 22 years as a military police officer. Robert was then employed by the Nevada Department of Public Safety, where he worked as a state police officer for 16 years. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his free time playing golf. To his family and friends, he was considered a “great man”, and he will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Tara Hubbard, of Russell Springs; three sons, Chris (and Kristen) Hubbard and Sean (and Michelle Thomas) Hubbard, both of Henderson, Nevada, and Eric Corona, of Norfolk, Virginia; one daughter, Kathleen Corona, of Green Valley, Arizona; two sisters, Linda (and Tony) Wright, of Jamestown, and Phyllis (and Archie) Burton, of Columbia; and three grandchildren, Hailey Hubbard, Robert Christopher Hubbard, Jr., and Wyatt Willis Perkins.
Funeral Services are 1:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the Russell County Honor Guard.
Visitation for the public will be from 11:00 AM, until the time of the service
